Justification Statement:

After having some experience in the animation, marketing, advertising, interactive media and film sectors, my favourite that interests me and that I would most like to work in is in Film Production.

I Chose film production because I love to film and piece together all my footage with editing on my favourite editing softwares, two of them being Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere Pro. I find it fun as I get to be as creative as I can and bring my ideas and dreams to life.

I love to make entertaining content and thats why I have a YouTube channel.

(Personal YouTube Channel Link: https://www.youtube.com/@kikildn9593).

On my channel, my first video was made and published in 2019. Overtime youd see that my editing has massively improved on there and also in my school project videos due to studying tech level 3 digital media in sixth form. I created a music video, horror short film and many more during my 2 years in sixth form which further adds to the experience I have in film production and digital media.

I have alot of experience that I am more than happy to share to the world and would love to continue to create great content.

When searching for a job in video editing, I came across this one. The responsibilities listed are exactly the responsibilities that was looking for in a video editing job. I am the ideal candidate because I have lots of experience with social media. I am detail oriented and have experience with software’s like Adobe Premiere and Final Cut Pro. I really liked the salary too so I  decided that this was one job I was going to apply for.

I selected ‘Apply directly on Guardian.com’ and it took me straight to the application form page. The page had the job details on it, the employer, the salary, location, and closing date. I had to make sure that the job was not too far, keeping in mind the travelling time etc. I also had to know the employer, so I can further research them. I was happy with all the information provided, giving me the greenlight to continue with the application.

When applying I followed the instructions, entered my full name, email address, and attached my CV to it. I selected ‘Send my CV for future job applications and share with recruiters to headhunt me for new roles’ and ‘Send my CV for a free review with TOPCV’ | Find out more about TopCv’. This is because if this application didn’t get into the next step of the hiring process, then at least they still have my CV saved in their system for newer jobs and they could notify me about it. I finished off the application with reading the Terms and Conditions AND ALSO THE privacy Policy and sent my application.

That is my application form completed.
